Moving House? Take GoTroppo With You!

Good news – you can bring your GoTroppo internet to your new address. Here’s how to make the move seamless.

How to Move Your Service

1

Contact Us Early

Let us know at least 2 weeks before your move date. This gives us time to check NBN availability and arrange the transfer.

The earlier, the better!

2

We Check Availability

We’ll verify NBN is available at your new address and confirm which technology type (FTTP, FTTN, HFC, etc.) you’ll have.

Your plan and pricing stay the same.

3

Get Connected

On your move date (or shortly after), we’ll activate your service at the new address. Just plug in your modem!

Same modem, same settings, new home.

What We Need From You

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my new address doesn’t have NBN?

If NBN isn’t available at your new address yet, we’ll let you know your options. In most cases, you can request NBN installation through us, or you may need to wait until NBN rolls out to your area. We can help you check the expected availability date.

Can I have overlapping service at both addresses?

Yes! If you need internet at both your old and new address for a period (e.g., during renovation or a gradual move), we can arrange this. You’ll be billed for both services during the overlap period.

What if the NBN technology is different at my new address?

Different NBN technologies (FTTP, FTTN, HFC, FTTC) can have different maximum speeds. If your new address has a different technology type, we’ll let you know what speeds to expect. Your plan and pricing remain the same.

Do I need a new modem?

In most cases, no – your existing modem will work at your new address. The only exception is if you’re moving from FTTP/FTTN/FTTC to HFC (or vice versa), which may require a different type of modem. We’ll advise you if this applies.

What about my WiFi password?

Your modem keeps all its settings, including your WiFi name and password. Once you plug it in at your new address, your devices should connect automatically using the same WiFi details.
